Ponder ponder ponder...
The first story of Protégés of the City should be up as soon as I select Carson's gender, and incorporate stronger descriptions of all of the characters.
I originally intended that the Superhero Clue series would be written in second person. Sadly, too many people felt that it was jarring to read, and were far more appreciative of the narrative when told in first person. Because I had initially planned for it to be in second person I purposefully omitted the gender and selected gender neutral names in the original stories. Now I have to include descriptions and actually pick a gender for every protagonist trying to work out who is the superhero. This is proving rather difficult for me. Particularly in regards to the pilot of Protégés of the City. The main character, Carson, can be read as either gender. I'm inclined to make Carson female because if I don't then Tessa is the only female member of the Small Scout troop. However, my friend read Carson as a male, and that seems very interesting to me.

I like the idea of a genderless story. Can you post the original genderless version too?
