The first story of Protégés of the City should be up as soon as I select Carson's gender, and incorporate stronger descriptions of all of the characters.
I originally intended that the Superhero Clue series would be written in second person. Sadly, too many people felt that it was jarring to read, and were far more appreciative of the narrative when told in first person. Because I had initially planned for it to be in second person I purposefully omitted the gender and selected gender neutral names in the original stories. Now I have to include descriptions and actually pick a gender for every protagonist trying to work out who is the superhero. This is proving rather difficult for me. Particularly in regards to the pilot of Protégés of the City. The main character, Carson, can be read as either gender. I'm inclined to make Carson female because if I don't then Tessa is the only female member of the Small Scout troop. However, my friend read Carson as a male, and that seems very interesting to me.

Forgive Me, Father is a short story that can stand on it's own. I ended up having it be a Blackheart story because it does seem like Bianca Black. It's only one page long. And it would take place somewhere between ten months and a year after Black Start. I'll try to work it in to the tenth story.
This is also a story about the difference between a hero and a vigilante. It should come up again later during Wattage Jr.'s crisis of faith. I added two stories that I wrote some time ago.
Hellrose & Nightstalker is the sequel to Symptoms. In the months since Anna learned the Memory Meddler's identity, Dr. Price has worked out a treatment for Anna's condition by studying the Memory Meddler; the Memory Meddler has told her friends at the police station about her new friend "Emo" (her nickname for Anna); and Megan, having revealed that she knows who Anna and the Memory Meddler are, is putting her own considerable talents to assisting them whenever needed. Hellrose & Nightstalker is the first time the new team is put to the test, after Memory Meddler is abducted by persons unknown. Silence is Deadly is a one page short story about the execution of an innocent woman. It received an Honorable Mention in the 2012 Fresh Ink Short Story Competition (Suspense Category). I just wanted to say that I am, in fact, still around. I chose a poor time to put up this website, thesis started the same semester. I have still been writing. I expanded the superhero universe quite a bit. I am still working on several different series. There is a one off story called "Faithful Foe" that should be up sometime soon.
I am also pleased to announce the launch of Faux Fiction. Faux Fiction is the result of a partnership that developed between me and my good friend Ruby. Ruby is a director, author, and aspiring audio author/director. We've been jokingly referring to ourselves as Creative Consultants and the Faux Sisters for sometime. The partnership solidified after MisfitsAudio expressed an interest in one of Ruby's scripts. This is a great opportunity because while we have a lot of ideas for audio dramas, MisfitsAudio has the experience and listener base. |
